Jasmine Edghill.
Jasmine's journey to law began with a multi-cultural upbringing, spanning several countries and citizenships. After completing her secondary education in Australia and the International Baccalaureate in Oxford, Jasmine graduated from Australian National University with Honours in Law and Asia-Pacific Studies. Jasmine’s international upbringing cultivated in her an adaptability, open-mindedness, and respect for different points of view. Combined with Jasmine’s clear communication style, these are traits that serve Jasmine’s clients well.
Starting as a law clerk in Queenstown, Jasmine gained hands-on experience working directly with clients. This strengthened her passion for making a difference in people's lives through her legal expertise. Since being admitted as a Solicitor in 2020, she has accrued five years of post-graduate experience, specialising in Property, Wills, Trusts, and Enduring Powers of Attorney.
At Downie Stewart, Jasmine thrives in a collaborative environment, where the focus is on achieving the best outcomes for clients. She values the firm's open-door policy and the emphasis on maintaining a healthy work-life balance, exemplified by the social committee's organisation of various employee events.
Jasmine is a Youth Director on the board of Dunedin Central Rotary Club and a member of the Institute of Directors. Outside of work, Jasmine enjoys walking in the hills with her dog, and participating in pub quizzes with friends.
With her diverse background, dedication to her clients, and vibrant interests, Jasmine is a valuable asset to our firm.
