Trudy Lee.

Trudy has a unique journey to the legal profession.

As the only member of her immediate family to finish high school, Trudy's determination and resilience have defined her path. Despite the challenges of solo parenting, Trudy retrained as a lawyer, driven by her innate desire to help others and make a difference.

Trudy's passion for advocacy was evident before becoming a lawyer, when she played a pivotal role in ensuring recognition for a friend's involvement in Operation Grapple, a significant historical event. Her proactive engagement in researching and advocating for community concerns, such as local council’s approach to hazard classification under the 2GP, underscores her commitment to protecting personal and property interests.

At Downie Stewart, Trudy appreciates the down-to-earth people and the supportive environment, which have made her transition seamless. With experience in estates and a keen interest in law, Trudy brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her role.

Outside of work, Trudy finds joy in spending time with her family, engaging in home maintenance and improvement projects, and working on cars. Before pursuing law, Trudy showcased her artistic talents as a painter, participating in various open art competitions and successfully selling her work.

Her multifaceted interests and unwavering dedication to her clients makes Trudy a great asset to our team at Downie Stewart.
